Singapore's only official imaging trade association.
Since its inauguration, SPDA has been the only official industry trade association recognised for photographic and digital imaging technologies in Singapore.
- ✓Members include professional photographers, photo studio owners, commercial photography services, lighting and equipment suppliers and retailers, and colour photo laboratories.
- ✓Over three hundred photo laboratories and professional photo studios, plus more than 30 photographic equipment and material suppliers across Singapore.
- ✓Roots reaching back to 1947, merging into the Singapore Photographic Trade Association in 1960 — today a government-recognised body.

Nearly eight decades in four frames.
1947
The first association forms
Trade associates establish the Chinese Photographic Studio Proprietors Association to organise the photographic trade and exchange techniques.
1950
A second society founded
A group with a common ideal founds the Singapore Photographic Research Society, advancing the craft in parallel.
1960
Two become one
The two associations merge as the Singapore Photographic Trade Association — the direct predecessor of today's SPDA.
Today
Government-recognised
Now the Singapore Photographic & Digital Imaging Trade Association, a recognised voice for the imaging industry.
